A facility analysis is used to establish and evaluate a facility’s current condition and provide a benchmark for evaluating the facility in the future.
The analysis can include a detailed review of the following components:
- Architecture/Interiors
- ADA/Building and Life Safety Codes
- Structures
- Entertainment Electronic Systems
- Foodservice and Retail
- Major Systems (mechanical, electrical and plumbing)
- Security Electronic systems
- Vertical Transportation
- Roof
The culmination of the condition assessment is a Capital Expense Matrix that provides a long term (20+ years) look at anticipated costs to maintain a facility.
Venues can then use the condition assessment documents to plan for the long term, acquire funding, justify upgrades, and demonstrate their ability to operate and maintain their facility responsibly. Some even make a condition assessment part of their SOPs every few years and will utilize the matrix years after the assessment has taken place.
