Through a public, competitive bid process, Venue Solutions Group (VSG) was awarded a facility condition assessment project for the home of the Tar Heels basketball programs. The venue opened in 1986 and seats over 20,000 fans.

The scope included analysis of the following systems: architectural finishes, structural elements, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, technology, food service equipment, vertical transportation, and roof systems. The final piece of the assessment was a 20-year capital expense plan. VSG’s work was included in the discussion of renovating or building a new arena for the University.
